A big ol' neurologically rare fellow who starts and finishes more creative projects in more mediums than he probably should. Flash creation was never my strong suit as a skill, but I was able to become a competent game developer and highly-varied artist.

Flash can be a real bitch (to use)!

Posted by Wardsmith - October 16th, 2009

Flash seems like a pretty reliable program so far, but some things just seem way more difficult than they should be. I still can't make a simple vase out of a circle and a rectangle, partially because of the uselessness of the tutorials I have been trying to use. Honestly you have no idea how shitty and impossible to understand they can be. All I want to do is learn the basics and be able to find a helpful tutorial, one for beginners that you can actually follow. I'm not planning on jumping straight into making platformers (even though I really wish I could) but my lack of progress is starting to piss me off.

I agree man, all flash tutorials are pretty near useless.I had to ditch them all together, and just read the very dry official flash manuals, and my stuff still sucks. If you ever need some help in art though, I can do a bit there.
